Jost van Dyke, BVI
Accessible only by water, Foxy's Tamarind Bar on
Jost van Dyke in the British Virgin Islands is an establishment known
throughout the Caribbean and the sailing community. Foxy asked TSG
for a desalination plant he could rely on that would produce high
quality water not only to serve his current operations but to allow
him to start a microbrewery. We responded quickly with a model
S-2-004,
a proven modular design reverse osmosis desalination
system. This project included design, supply and installation
of a plant and seawater intake that operate both reliably and
cost-effectively. TSG is also providing scheduled service to
be sure that Foxy's remains the "Caribbean home of the foam,"
brewing and serving some of the best beers in the islands!
"We at Foxy’s are extremely grateful for the
efforts of TSG to provide us with potable water which we
use for all our bar and kitchen purposes and also for supplying
our new brewery, something we could never have envisioned
without a dependable source of fresh water of a high standard.
Formerly, we had two 4,000 gal cisterns which when full
could supply us with enough water for approximately 3-4
weeks of usage in the high season, and were otherwise dependent
on water barged over by the government. Now we can fulfill
all of our needs and have been able to help out supplying
local homes in times of drought. Without our water–maker
from TSG we could not have expanded to the capacity of business
we handle today."
